INFUSE

INFUSE is a Department of Energy (DOE) initiative that provides the fusion industrial community with access to the technical and financial support needed to advance new or emerging fusion technologies toward realization through public-private partnerships. Under the INFUSE initiative, the Department of Energy’s Fusion Energy Sciences program (DOE-FES) provides funding to support company applicants seeking access to the world-class expertise and capabilities available across U.S. DOE national laboratories and accredited U.S. universities.

IFE infrastructure

The DOE Fusion Science & Technology (FS&T) Roadmap places infrastructure at the core of the U.S. fusion strategy. Rather than focusing on physical facilities alone, the Roadmap emphasizes shared scientific, engineering, testing, and digital capabilities needed to address critical technology gaps that individual fusion companies may not be able to efficiently address on their own.
